The Marion Rural Fire Department located in Marion, Montana is a 100% volunteer organization dedicated to reducing the loss of life and property through fire and emergency medical response, prevention, and education and code management to the citizens of Marion and the surrounding rural area.
Your Department operates from two Battalions located at 180 Gopher Lane and 11620 Highway 2 West. We operate with 4 Engines, 2 Water Tenders, 2 Ambulance and 1 Command Vehicle.
Marion Rural Fire Department are your neighbors, men and women who live in the community. Marion Rural Fire Department are professionals who perform these services for reasons that go far beyond money. These people have chosen to serve their community as firefighters and medical responders. They are supported by their families, by the Auxiliary, and by other community members. The Department meets every Tuesday night at 7:00pm for fire and the first and third Wednesday for medical training. Members are trained to develop technical skills in structure and wildland firefighting, Incident Command System, low angle rescue, driving, vehicle extrication, Hazmat basics, Helicopter ground operations and Emergency Medical training. It is an opportunity to gain valuable work experience and provide a valuable community service through the protection of lives, property and the environment.
