Marion Rural Fire Department and the Auxiliary is committed to excellence not only in the workplace but also in the community. It is our responsibility to provide leadership and give back to the community as much as we possibly can. In recent years, Marion Rural Fire Department and the Auxiliary has led or participated in many successful events from open houses, sponsorships to community fairs, sports events, and educational activities.  We are excited to list the following events Marion Rural Fire Department and the Auxiliary will be participating in over the upcoming DAYS / MONTHS / 2011.

Upcoming Events!

Saturday, June 11, 2011 is the date of our annual BBQ-Auction-Raffle fundraiser. The fundraiser will be at our Battalion One fire station at 180 Gopher Lane (across from Marion School). The BBQ starts at noon. The auction starts at 2 PM. When the auction ends, we will draw raffle tickets to see who will win one of the following prizes:

• 1st Place        Henry® “Golden Boy” .44 Magnum rifle (valued at $2,000!)
   
• 2nd Place      Toshiba® Netbook laptop computer
• 
  3rd Place       Trekker® Ice House (a 2-person “pop-up” with sled and seats)

Raffle tickets will be mailed out to property owners and residents of Marion at the end of April. Please, purchase them to support our department’s volunteers and their efforts to improve fire, rescue, and emergency medical services in our community.
