Become a Local HeroDo you want to do more than watch if you're neighbor's house catches on fire? If so, we need you. The Marion Rural Fire Dept. is always searching for men and women who want to do more than watch. We're looking for people who want to be involved in helping their neighbors and their community. We're looking for professionals who want to be part of a progressive, innovative fire department committed to total quality service. For more information, contact the Marion Rural Fire Department at (406) 854-2828 or mrfd@marionruralfiredept.org The Marion Rural Fire Department is a 100% volunteer organization dedicated to reducing the loss of life and property through fire and emergency medical response, prevention, and education and code management to the citizens of Marion and the surrounding rural area. The department operates from two stations located on Gopher Lane. and 11620 Highway 2 West. The department operates with 2 engines, 2 water tenders, 1 4x4 wild land engine, 1 utility rescue. This emergency service is provided with 22 volunteers. Marion Rural Fire Department are your neighbors, men and women who live in the community. Marion Rural Fire Department are professionals who perform these services for reasons that go far beyond money. These people have chosen to serve their community as firefighters and medical responders. They are supported by their families, by the Auxiliary, and by other community members. Department training is held on first and third Tuesday nights at 7:00 p.m. You can develop technical skills in the use of complicated fire fighting and rescue equipment, as well as life-saving techniques. It is an opportunity to gain valuable work experience and provide a valuable community service through the protection of lives, property and the environment. |

burning manmade materials is prohibited at any time. Please use
caution when you burn. Please consider your neighbors and burn
only clean, dry material.
Burning restrictions
will be updated daily on the ventilation hotline,
751-8144.
You must call each day that you burn during the burning seasons, which
are described below. The report will be updated by 8:40am on weekdays
and by 5:00pm Friday for the weekend.
